Comments Your interests shape your experience at Fasken. Our flexible program provides you with the freedom to modify your experience as new opportunities are presented. This flexibility also allows you deeper involvement with the files that you are working on and the opportunity to see a file from start to finish.

We believe it is important for each student to have control over the development of his/her career. As such, you will be encouraged and supported to seek out the type of work in which you are most interested, to work with a variety of lawyers and to interact with clients. For more details please review our website.

An allowance of $8,000 will be paid during the Bar School program to students who accept our offer as an articling student. Those same students can work during the summer following their recruitment as well as on a part-time basis during their studies.

Description of articling program We offer two articling periods – one starting in late January and the other in mid-June. Each articling period begins with a week of training and integration into the firm's community. Your articling period is made up of three rotations, in 2 of our 8 practice groups: Litigation, Environment, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, Corporate Law, Banking, Real Estate and Tax. At the end of your second rotation, you will be asked to select the practice group in which you want to complete your article.

Throughout your articling period, you will have the opportunity to participate in lunch-and-learn events hosted by our lawyers. You will also benefit from personalized support by your articling supervisor, who will answer your questions and provide you with the tools you need to meet your objectives.

The firm will be sure to offer you a collaborative work environment in which you can thrive and grow.
Throughout your articling period, you will also attend the Lunch & Learn training sessions given by lawyers. Weekly meetings will also be organized with your articling Maître de stage to talk about your professional development.
